The wedding is done. We are back in Canada for our post wedding vacation. Holed up in this little cabin on the beach in Tofino for a few nights. Glorious! Are you all jealous? Will write all about the wedding once I regroup.

At a glance

My husband and I were married in 2005 and have been on a journey to make a baby since 2006. We've been through much testing, diet and lifestyle changes, Naturopathic approaches, and prayer, and are diagnosed with "unexplained infertility." We started down the road of assisted reproductive technology, starting with IUI. After many failed cycles, and one pregnancy followed by a miscarriage, we are currently pregnant with twins, due November 2013 . My husband and I are very much in love - we love life, love God, and love each other... all we want is a little one(s) to pour out this love upon. Thus, the journey of trying to create "home grown" love.

2005 - Married and off birth control in 2006
2007 - Officially started TTC
2008 - Met with doctor
2009 - Hormone blood tests, semen analysis test, all returned normal.
2010 - Found new Naturopathic doctor, tried herbal formulations, TCM herbs, acupuncture
Aug. 2010 - HSG showed no abnormalities. More blood tests and SA tests.
Aug-Nov.2011 - 3 cycles on clomid, no results.
Nov. 2011 - Fertility Clinic Visit (we were on a waitlist)
Dec. 2011 - 4th cycle of clomid. Schedule for IUI but clinic was closed for the weekend of LH surge. Try again next month...
Jan. 2012 - Clomid + TIC (Missed our LH surge window and chance for the IUI)

March 1, 2012 - First IUI.

March 14, 2012- First ever BFP!

Beta #1 (18dpiui) = 132

Beta #2 (21dpiui )= 324

Beta #3 (25dpiui) = 2089!!!

April 2, 2012 - 1st ultrasound reveals that baby is measuring a week behind schedule. Wait a week to check again.

April 10, 2012 - 2nd ultrasound reveals a blighted ovum. Pregnancy is declared nonviable.
May 16, 2012 - Miscarriage :(

Aug. 1, 2012 - 2nd IUI... results in a BFN

Aug. 28, 2012 - 3rd IUI - BFN
Feb. 26, 2013 - 4th IUI... it's a gooder.

March 12 - BFP!!!!! 12DPO Beta = 55

March 14 - Beta = 215

April 10 - First ultrasound reveals... TWINS! Due Nov. 22nd (twin date Nov. 11), 2013

Oct. 18, 2014 - RJ & MJ join our family.
