Just got back from our mini-holiday away to one of my absolute favorite cities... Vancouver. It rained a lot (as you can see from the photo below) but we had a good time. It felt a bit weird because we were playing tour guides to our student and his sister and they mainly talked to each other in Cantonese. So we were somewhat alone in our conversations but yet we were not actually alone...
We saw some sights, ate some good food (too much) and drank great coffee.
It was a quick overnight trip, but pretty enjoyable. It was nice to be
in a big city and not feel so out of place being the only 30-year old,
married-without-kids couple. Surprisingly, I'm even feeling social
tonight and we're going out to visit with our friends P & J. I'll
catch up on my comments from ICLW tomorrow!
